First day experience @ Little Hainan.
There needs to be some reengineering to be done in the process of handling customer. The smiling face Tauke Nio who is wearing high-heels is not able to cope with all the attacks from several customers that she almost cry when I ask what has happened to my order.
We ordered chicken rice X 2, one coffee and one chinese tea (ice). Coffee served cold, Tea wasn’t warm anymore cause it has been sitting on the bench for 15 minutes before the waitress noticed that they are sitting there.
Secondly the chicken rice.
The meat is cut and let dry somewhere on the chopping board. The rice is fresh out of the cooker and its sticky.
Though I am not a Hainan but I grew up with a Hainanese Family living next door that gave us heaps of chicken rice. I know how to make those rice ball right and I think I don’t need to teach a Hainanese that what she did to the rice is wrong.
I also noticed the cook being one who has to many places including Magenta, SCR and etc.

I am not really a bread person but the smell of the bread from this outlet smells nice. You can find it at
Yao Cafe @ Premier 101

Just has this for dinner today. It was really nice. Though I think the cheese is a bit less that what I expected from a Cordon Bleu. One thing I would need to tell you all is that this dish is actually called “Pork Gordon Blue”….. You can get this dish at Yaw Cafe at Premier 101. Its only served in the evening.

I have brought many guest to this store down at Petanak Market and all has asked for seconds. I mean it is really good. Though the place doesn’t quite look appealing, However, the food there is really good. just make sure you are ready for the heat and the smell. This is an acquired Taste which I rank top in Kuching.
I will post the name of the shop here soon
